Protecting your facility from fire during construction

Sophisticated fire protection systems are generally installed in completed food manufacturing facilities, but what about while they are under construction where there is arguably a significant risk?

As part of DDK’s Intelligent Construction approach, we design a fire strategy at the start of the project which is communicated throughout the site via magnetic display panels and through daily site coordination meetings DABs.

We implement wireless fire alarm systems on all our projects throughout the construction phase, which are not removed until the facility is up and running with the staff fully trained on the permanent fire protection system.

A site-wide permit to work system monitors hot work activity and there are fire call points across the facility including throughout the roof space.
