Core Project
Detailed Facility & Services Design
Applying best in class principals and in-house experience, in readiness for tendering, DDK develop concept designs into fully detailed designs in terms of construction and engineering services.
Detailed Process Specification and Equipment Selection
DDK compile detailed specifications (function and performance levels) for all areas of equipment and process requirements, again in readiness for tendering.
Tendering, Selection & Contract Application
All areas of construction/services and equipment are fully tendered to multiple pre-approved contractors and vendors.
A rigorous and visible tender equivalization review and selection process is applied to all areas of tender, involving all members of the project team and stakeholders.
Relevant contracts are applied to the appointment of each contractor and vendor.
Construction Management (Principal Contractor)
DDK posses the in-house resource, skills and experience to operate as the Principal Contractor for the construction and delivery phase of the project, delivered to the pre-defined requirements of scope/quality, cost and time.
Equipment Procurement & Installation
DDK can provide the necessary resource of appropriate skills and experience to manage and monitor the successful procurement and delivery of all types of equipment, closely coordinated with the construction and delivery of the project.
Health & Safety Management
Safety is the first priority at all stages of project definition and delivery. This is aligned with Client stakeholders and their processes. DDK will provide the leadership and processes, coupled with the requirements of CDM in the role of Principal Contractor, to ensure the safe control and delivery of the project.
Project Governance & Structure
Programme Management (Governance & Reporting)
DDK will resource and implement the pre-defined Project Governance and Structure to manage, monitor and report on overall programme delivery, against the Defined scope and other Workstream deliverables.
Client Resource Support
As defined in the Project Governance and Structure, members of the Client Team are integral members of the overall project/programme team.
To enable secondment of this identified resource into the project team for the duration of the project, DDK possess the in-house expertise and network to supplement your day-to-day operational team with resource of the required skills and experience.
Comms Plan (Internal & External Stakeholders)
Further defined in Project Governance and Structure, communication of the project/programme is another vital component of project delivery, to ensure ongoing awareness and ownership by your operation following Delivery.
DDK will work closely with you and your Team to ensure an engaging and inclusive communications plan, of appropriate frequency and content, is tailored and delivered to internal and external stakeholders as required.
Operational Excellence
Transition Planning
Building upon the pre-Defined Organisational Design & Strategy, Transition Plans are developed to ensure seamless transition of your operation and people into your new or expanded facility.
Such plans include and document all considerations for people, processes, structures and systems to ensure readiness for the transition.
Sustainable construction management
DDK implements a targeted construction methodology to reduce waste in construction and reduce supply chain waste. DDK targets 50% reduction of standard construction wastage through careful site planning, detailed procedures for handling, and a planned construction methodology. Modular offsite construction results in less waste on site and smart design optimises the usage of materials.
